[Marxism] Celia Hart: Getting her ideas out and about

A good printed edition of Celia's writings is available and can be
found easily on the internet. Thanks to the modern system of
publishing on demand, it's not necessary to print thousands of copies
and have them all sitting on the shelves of a warehouse, tying up
lots of money.

Socialist Action has also committed itself to preparing a book of
Celia's writings. If that book were to be well-done and to come out,
and be produced as effectively and professionally as possible, it
would be great.

The Fredrick Engels Foundation of Spain produced an excellent edition
which had a public launching in Havana which I attended. Its cover
isn't the most attractive, but the contents were well-selected and
introduced by an informative essay written by Alan Woods.

Spanish speakers should purchase the book, but you can actually read
the entire book online for free. No need to print it out, but you can
actually see the entire book, 268 pages long, here: Complete text of
the book Apuntes Revolucionarios:
http://www.engels.org/pdf/apuntes.pdf (268 pages)

http://www.walterlippmann.com/ch-04-10-2007.html The author of the
report, Ulises Estrada, fought with Che in the Congo, and has led a
life committed to the Cuban Revolution which included posts as an
ambassador (Jamaica), and much more. His books are in print in
English. He's fluent in English, by the way.

A number of Celia's writings already in English can be found here:

Anyone who is up to translation from Spanish to English is welcome to
get in touch with me. Celia's work is long, but it's often difficult
to translate, and we really want to get it right.

Until we get Socialist Action's book, we can certainly uses the
smaller anthology produced by the British Socialist Resistance
organization. That can be found through Amazon.com It's calle IT'S
NEVER TOO LATE TO LOVE OR REBEL. It has a nice cover which you can
view here, and purchase from Amazon.com, or if they can order it
via the net, from your local independent:

Another option you can use is to post Celia's articles with your own
notes about the importance of her ideas and writings to the lists you
all are on.

Hope that's helpful.

Q: How can material like Celia Hart's interviews and writings be made
more widely known in the U.S. and other English-speaking countries,
e.g., among antiwar activists? Note the widespread appearance of Che
images among young people, on T shirts etc.
