Re: [Marxism] ABOLITION 2000 Calls on to Reject the US-India Nuclear Agreement

Whether one stands by or sits by is entirely one's own
prerogative.

But that does not negate the fact of ignorance and
malice as brought out in my earlier response and which
has been totally dodged this time.

The statement by the US-India working group itself is
a part of "lobbying" and opinion-building. That
"(t)hey (the working group) seek to "lobby" the member
nations to reject the agreement" is self-evident and
no earthshaking discovery.
If some people want to carry out a "Rrrevolution" to
attain such aims, let them go ahead. (What a grand
delusion!)

Moreover, the observation that the "ABOLITION 2000
wants YOUR country restricted by MY country from doing
what it wants with it's nuclear fuel supply" is
another showcase piece of ignorance and/or distorted
perception.
It is the US, which has taken the unilateral
initiative, in gross contravention of international
norms - to a large extent shaped by the US itself, to
resume nuclear trade with India, an aberrant nation
and a non-signatory to the NPT.
(It'd be pertinent to mention that out of 191 total
members of the UN, 188 signed the NPT. The three
"great anti-imperialist" non-signatories are: India,
Pakistan and Israel. N. Korea, which had withdrawn in
January 2003, is busy negotiating the terms of
rejoining as a non-nuclear weapon state quite to utter
dismay of those who never tire of rather mindlessly
parroting that it is N. korea's (doubtful) nuclear
arsenal that provides it security from imperialist
attack.)
And the selfsame US is issuing all sorts of threats to
make Iran desist from going ahead with its nuclear
energy programme, which it is perfectly entitled to
under the provisions of the NPT, on the ground that it
had concealed facts as regards its programme in the
past pretty oblivious of the fact that Iran has opened
up all its facilities for international inspection.
It is precisely this duplicity of the imperialist US,
in pursuance of its project for establishing
unfettered global domination, that is being defended
here under the cover of hollow "Rrrevolutionary"
rhetoric.
