The challenge should be considered solely on its own
merits. This is standard scientific

Mike Friedman (for some reason) replied,

What this has to do with Paula's point I have no idea.
Friedman continues,

So I guess Friedman's pompous reply basically amounts
to changing Paula's "science often progresses..." to
"science SOMETIMES progresses," a change which has no
effect on the point she was making.
