When follow the search for the lesser evil, you will get the worst.
We should not look for the slave master who would be less bad than
another, but should strive to become our own masters.
There are two main things which proletarian revolutionists have to do
explain in bourgeois elections:
- that our forces lies in our great number and our social weight as the
produces of everything, and not in submitting to some "saviour" or
lesser evil;
- that in order to change the conditions of our existence, and to save
humanity, we have to take political power, so that we can wrest the
control over the social production from the owners and put it into those
who actually produce.
And in that process to build the party, or at least lay its
foundations, which can act as leader and instrument of the working
masses to take that power.
As the words of "The Internationale" go:
"No saviour from on high delivers,
No faith have we in prince or peer.
Our own right hand the chains must shiver,
Chains of hatred, greed, and fear."
