I think i had my question answered ... according to WSWS Marx's "Jew-Nigger" 
(Lassalle) is a mistrantlation. The correct translation is apparently "Jew 
Isaac". "Jew Nigger" sounds even like a carefully concocted slur of an angry 
racist, even by 19th century standards.

Your best bet is to read Engels's "Origin of the Family, Private 
Property and the State" which undercuts the basis for racism by 
showing how Africans, American-Indians et al were more civilized in 
many ways than their conquerors. I use the term civilized ironically 
because in the anthropological lexicon of the 1880s, they were 
regarded as "savages" or "barbarians", terms that are no longer used.

More to the point, Marxism didn't really theorize race until a bit 
later. You really have to wait until the 1900s when the first 
African-American Marxists were coming to the fore in the USA, 
including WEB Dubois.
