[Marxism] Chávez finishes paying off World Bank loans

terrible, he should have repudiated the debt, not paid it off. "
Yeah, a huh...trolling for fights Joaquin?
I know the Bolshies repudiated all their debts, but then they had to, didn't
they? If Chavez had repudiated these loans, I'm sure Joaquin would of been
right there saying "see, see, this is how internationalists behave...blah,blah".
Nuts. First, Chavez *could* pay off the countries debts. Why pick a fight if
one doesn't have to and it doesn't hurt the nation an iota? And, it's another
hammer gone from hanging over the head of the revolution there. Secondly,
compare this how Lula paid off the debts for Brazil (which he did last year),
following *exactly* the same method that Cardozo used before him: place the
payments of the debts as a function and responsibility of the municipalities
and make them cut their budgets to make the mafioso payments on loans that stem
back to the days of the military. Use the very phony "participatory democracy"
to make the masses fightover who to screw and what services to cut and push it
all downward onto the people and away from a political fight with the WB and
IMF.
Chavez has a well rounded revolutionary approach that put the people first,
even while paying of the debts. Good for him.
David
