I find it it a little hard to fathom what exactly has prompted Comrade
Proyect's vicious but petty sectarian outburst towards the courageous
comrades of the Zimbabwean ISO. Clearly, as is not unusual, he feels no
need to actually know what the comrades do and think, in order to launch
an attack on them for their dreaded ``Leninism''. Perhaps he just cannot
bring himself to openly support Mugage as he sets about crushing the
Zimbawean workers, peasants, township dweller and farm workers on behalf
of the indigenous bourgeosie. Better to belittle and dismiss the
well-respected and non-sectarian ISO, the only organised left force
(e.g. ``Leninist'') in Zimbabwe.
For those who want to learn a little more about the ISO in Zim, please

Louis, your post says nothing about why what the ISO does in
Zimbabwe is off. Failing that it looks very much like gratuitous
sectarianism.
To which I would now just add:
Yours truly,
Andy -- a REAL Cannonite
Yes, that is true, Andy. You are a real Cannonite.
As far as what the ISO is doing in Zimbabwe, it would have a hard time
I think in becoming a true vanguard even if it dumped its "Leninist"
baggage overboard. For example, they characterize Mugabe as a fascist,
which is pretty ill-conceived from a Marxist perspective. While
googling around, I discovered that Callinicos is from Zimbabwe
originally. Maybe that played a role in getting something off the
ground there. It is really pretty amazing (or maybe not so amazing)
that the Cliffites have not a single Third World section except in
Zimbabwe. Btw, differences over Zimbabwe led to a split in their
international movement: http://www.angelfire.com/journal/iso/
