I was at the march and saw helicopters flying above the march. I would imagine they could come up with a number based on area, and population density--when most people were in the mall.


how do you eyeball a march of this size? I was at the march october before last, which was presumably a lot larger but they both seemed "large" to me.

On the weekend's big DC march, I was thinking that the numbers given by the UFPJ numbers seemed too large, while the press was seriously lowballing it with that "tens of thousands" hooey. From my eye it was more like in the 200,000 range. Still a good start for rebuilding an antiwar movement that can tackle this imperialist beast of a war.
