I was not addressing a Marxist solution to the environmental crisis
(which might simply be, get rid of capitalism ;-), but a Marxist
understanding of mankind's relation to the natural environment. I was
trying to find out wherether there is indeed a gap in Marxism or if
I'm simply ignorance of work that is being done on the subject.

If there is anyone in hearing range that finds the subject interesting,
I' be glad to put my own toes into the water. One thing I'd argue is
that our relation to the natural environment is inherently
contradictory, and so I probably share what is called the
"pessimistic" outlook of Timpanaro, On Materialism.
