I agree with Gary that at the end of the day, most of US imperialist focus is
Iran. But...there is a danger of a full scale war with N. Korea that really
doesn't exist, IMO, with Iran. I think anything that lights a spark in Korea
will set the whole region on fire so it's scary for this reason, even without
the N. Korea nuclear option.

Iran, as I stated previously here a few months ago, is not threatened, again
IMO, with a real "invasion" a la Iraq. The US ruling class, I think, is so
divided on Iraq that getting concensus on Iran is impossible. There is a
political will for many, sure, but not the military ability to carry out a
serious invasion for 'regime change', the dream of the so-called neo-cons wing
of the ruling class. Bombing (massive) of Iran nuke sites, target killing of
Iranian nuclear engineers (someing Mossad is expert in and is carrying out
among intellectuals now in Iraq, I believe), siezure of and/or destruction of
Iranian off-shore assets is quite doable and, relatively inexpensive and could
be accomplished with current imperialist military assets in the region. This is
what is scary as far as I'm concerned...because it would be so 'easy' relative
to what they are trying to do in Iraq. Plus, they know what it takes to destroy
a country's infrastructure with little loss on their part, after their
experience in Iraq and the Zionist destruction of Lebanon.

The US knows that the Iranian population, with some exceptions, would rally
around their gov't and unlike the N. Koreans, the population would be able to
put up a serious longterm fight against any serious imperialist troop
deployment, which is why I don't think it will happen this way....but it could
happen the way I describe above.
