[Marxism] SSP ember of Scottish parliament demands Sheridan, ally resign seats over tape

Sheridan & Byrne Must Resign As MSPs

Sheridan and Rosemary Byrne were elected as Scottish Socialist Party
list MSP's in May 2003 but the voters of Glasgow and the South of
Scotland are currently represented in the Scottish Parliament by two
MSP's who have been part of a squalid attempt to line the pockets of Mr
Sheridan and the spinning of a tower of lies to cover up his secret
life.

SSP MSP for the West of Scotland said;

"I've known for months that Tommy was telling lies about this whole
affair and now this tape confirms it in his own words."

"Anyone who knows Tommy and listens to the tape will find his claims
that it is a fake frankly laughable."

"It joins the long list of Tommy's fantasy claims about plots, fake
minutes and all the other tall tales told over the summer.'

"My advice to him is you're in hole-stop digging. It time to tell the
truth, apologise to those he has branded liars."

"The tape clearly vindicates the truthfulness of the evidence given by
the 11 SSP witnesses and the stand taken by the party to tell the truth
in court."

"Having been elected on the SSP party list it is bad enough that they
have clung to their seats after leaving the party but given the
implications of this latest development it is surely time they did the
honourable thing and resigned."

"That would at least limit the damage that this sorry affair is
inflicting on Scottish politics and politicians in general."

"This would allow the SSP to honour the voters wishes and replace them
with two members who support the party which voters endorsed at the
ballot box in 2003 election".SSSheri
