[Marxism] bipartisan 9/11 propaganda (was conspiracy theory)

Take a look at the Times' review of Disney/ABC/Iranian exile-reactionary's 9/11
movie:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/08/arts/television/08path.html
For the Times the reviewer is surprisingly evenhanded toward both parties,
saying there's more than enough "blame" to go around.
And in a sense she's right. Clinton was perfectly happy to bomb the shit out of
thousands of people, but didn't go after bin Laden or the Taliban as much as he
might.
What does that say about the Democratic Party in that particular decade as a
pro-war, pro-imperialist party which nonetheless made different tactical
choices than the Republicans might have (emphasize might)?
And much more importantly, what does it say about the politics of this country
that "who's to blame" for 9/11 is even the debate the country is having? I.e.,
a debate about why "we" didn't bomb more Arabs sooner and harder -- and not why
"we" are in fact the enemy, the bad guys?
There will be no debate on 9/11 about whether the US has the right to dominate
other countries. There will be no debate about whether we should apologize for
9/11 in Chile. There will be no debate about whether we should apologize or pay
reparations for the thousand and more our tax dollars butchered in Lebanon,
whether in 2006 or in 1982.
So f*** the conspiracy theory debate.
