This would only make sense if the Democrats saw themselves as
deceiving the working class. However, they don't. Conspiracies usually
involve plots that run counter to the stated aims of the plotters.
Shakespeare's plays are rife with them. Under Clinton, the Democrats openly
stated that poor people would benefit from ending welfare and then they went
ahead and smashed the
welfare system.

CB: I just don't get how the Democrats could really see themselves as as not
deceiving the working class after all these decades of them saying their aim
is to help the working class, and yet their actions hurting the working
class. By now surely they see that they are hurting the working class. We
have to conclude that they know what they are doing , but that their words
are in contradiction to what they are doing, i.e. they are deceivers,
conspirators. And surely there is a certain amount of planning in this. I
just don't see how they could unconsciously and unknowingly be so successful
at saying one thing and doing another all these years.
It is precisely the case that the Democrats' plots and actions run counter
to their stated aim of helping the working class.
Clinton's stated aim was to help the working class. His action was counter
to his stated aim. Just like Shakespeare.
