suklasenp@xxxxxxxxxxx writes in reply to my posting: ?the role of the vanguard
party, or parties, needs be interrogated with an open and unbiased, but not an
empty, mind.?
Reply: What is the alternative you suggest? We have seen many an alternative to
Marxism-Leninism bite the dust or degenerate into social democracy. The phobia
for Leninist party principles is evident in many arm-chair revolutionaries in
the West, who put on great postures and offer no solutions. What do you want to
rethink? Globalization? ?AID? from the World Bank, IMF or ADB as a source of
developmental funds? Here in India, when you go around and work with the
masses, talk to them about their poverty, unemployment, assault on workers?
rights and immerse yourself in trade union struggles or the fight of
agricultural labourers, you will automatically understand why you need a
working-class party based on Leninist principles. Ofcourse, we are not
dogmatists and we understand the need to adopt the functioning of the party to
suit today?s needs. But a cohesive and disciplined party only can lead
meaningful struggles. Any amount of hot air from talkative mouths is not going
to
yield results.
So much for your grand declaration: ?It is very difficult to have any dialogue
with 'faith', or the 'faithful', of whatever variety.?
My dear friend, it is not faith, but conviction and life experience of 35 years
in the revolutionary movement that had taught me the need for a Leninist Party.
Wear out your shoes by going out and working among the masses, rather than
giving sermons.
