Les, that's an excellent question. I got the pamphlet, I think from a Chilean
solidarity group in the late 70s but I can't be sure. It was printed in Mexico
from what I remember.
I dont think anyone was doing anything in Chile then, but suffering a lot or
trying to get out. I think as a guide to action, however, I suppose it could
have implicaitons how one characterizes a gov't, at least in tems of maybe how
one builds a united front and with what kind of program. But to be honest,
IMHO, I think the whole "fascist or not" discussion has limited importance,
which is why I prefer 'capitalist' gov't plain'ol type and the address the
issue of democratic rights, unions, etc on a case by case situation. Fascism,
at the end of the day, has become a totally useless definition.
