the most comprehensive overview of Israeli targeting in Lebanon i've
seen in US papers so far:

several weeks before the Israeli attacks began, i met a young couple who
moved to the States from Lebanon about 15 years ago. we were talking on
the beach about the state of their country, how it had been rebuilt over
the years, and how they now expected major foreign capital investment by
the US and Europeans because Lebanon was now "interested in doing
business" rather than in violence and terrorism.

i thought of warning them that not to trust US rulers largesse for
"doing business".
