[Marxism] Re: Doubts flow on watery plot

My edited selection from the New York Times is now mostly gone. The link will bring you to an article, but it is much shorter and completely rewritten.

Most of what I quoted is out. Some is spread out in new articles, but it is a lot of work to follow it up. Besides the rewriting could go on.*

Here is a new article with most of what I quoted and with an interesting rewrite:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/11/world/europe/11plot.html
The original direct quote from Chertoff, filled with vagaries about liquids in general and missing any detonation devices is gone. Instead there is an indirect rewriting of Chertoff [done in consultation with whom we can only guess]:
"Mr. Chertoff said the attackers planned to carry explosive material and detonation components 'disguised as beverages, electronic devices and other common objects' onto the planes."

This is from the original article, with my caps, which you probably figured out already:

Also in the United States, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said new restrictions imposed on travelers reflected A BELIEF THAT THE PLOTTERS PLANNED to use liquids, “each one of which would be benign, but mixed together could be used to create a bomb.”
