I don't think there is either a _general_ problem or a _general_
solution to that (non-existent)problem; rather, each specific
conjuncture presents its own concrete problems, resolution to which must
emerge from the practice at that time and place. The belief that there
is a general question and a general answer may be seen in action as it
were in all the criticisms offered on this list and elsewhere of the
current administrations in Bolivia and Venezuela. Those revolutions may
fail or succeed, but there is no way of determining, from a distance,
the "correct" practice for those involved in the struggle.

And a footnote on "winning." I think its clear from the various posts on
that thread the the concept of "winning" is itself too general and can't
be defined usefully in abstraction from particular sets of conditions.
