Done rightly, a boycott campaign against Israel might be the most
effective action u.s. leftists could take against the u.s. 1930s Germany
is beside the point because any public action there meant death, but not
here. A picket line at an Israeli Consulate could provoke conversation
with passers-by in which one could explain that the U.S. not Israel was
the main target. This would also provide occasions for explaining the
difference between anti-zionism and anti-semitism by explaining that
Israel did not 'lead' the u.s., the u.s. led israel.
