RE: [Marxism] The Case For Boycotting Israel and the United States

//Ralph,

If you think the United States today is more internally repressive than
Germany in the 1930s, I'm sure we all want a puff of what you're taking....

--------------------------------------

Jimson/crack maybe. I didn't say anything about "more internally repressive than thirties Germany" -- words not in my mouth. We're not coming off a
total collapse here as in post-WWI Germany -- onerous reparations, economic and political isolation, social-democratic failure, a threatening working class -- and a repressive messianic political response -- not internally repressive yet.

Policy here currently is to prate about a US class-hedged one-of-a-kind democracy and its export to the world -- or has been. We may be hearing less and less about that. Shiites and Hamas and Hezbollah in elected governments,
Chavez, Morales, Obrador, the Ukrainian turnaround.

And the US has successfully gulled its working class for reasons everyone here should know well enough.

Ralph
