[Marxism] Celebrations in Miami

The AP story at Yahoo News has passages like

"Cheering crowds waving Cuban flags celebrated the
news of Castro's illness late Monday and into early
Tuesday." and "'This is a celebration of people of
hope returning to their home country, something that
is 40-something years in the making,' said Joe
Martinez, chairman of Miami-Dade County commissioners,
who was born in Cuba."

The street revelry was shown non-stop all evening on
all the local TV stations in South Florida. I don't
know if you got to see any of it on national
broadcasts, but it was something to see - teenagers
hanging out of car windows, people riding bikes while
waving Cuban flags, smiling faces being interviewed by
the media, all made the more surreal by the
accompanying superimposed caption, FIDEL SICK. It
makes me hope he lives another 10 years (if just to
spite these people), though of course the rumor, given
support by a local sociology professor quoted in the
article, is that he is already dead.
