Under the circumstances, it can be difficult, I think, even for some
progressive Jews, to oppose Israel's war against Hezbollah (in spite
of the atrocities).
Actually, the overwhelming majority of the quotes are anti-Zionist rather
than anti-Semitic. This, of course, was the intention of the article--to
make an amalgam between the two. I don't think it is worth trying to
"explain" Nasrallah's anti-Semitic formulations. If the average American
will allow himself or herself to get sidetracked by them, they are likely
to be using them as an excuse for backing Israeli terror.
