[Marxism] Sydney March and Rally against Israel's attacks on Palestinians

Some 250 people took part in a spirited mach and rally in Lakemba- a western
suburb of Sydney-  to show solidarity with the Palestinian people against the
latest brutal assaults from the Zionist occupation forces today Sunday 2 July.

The march of people from  the Arab and Muslim community, and supporters of
the Palestinians  including members of  left political groups, was the first
direct action that I am aware of on this issue  here. It made quite an impact
with a lot of support from locals who came out of the shops and cafes to cheer 
in
response to chants of Israel Out! and Free Free Palestine!

Another rally has been called for Melbourne for July 5 at 12.30pm. It has
been endorsed by Arab and Muslim groups and a number of socialist groups. These
actions will hopefully be the beginning of a continuing campaign on this most
important and urgent issue.
