Try "Democracy and the Rule of Law:  Liberal Ideals and Marxist Critiques"
by Bob Fine

and

"Marxism and Law" by Hugh Collins.

Each has a different p.o.v. on how to apply the insights of Marx to law, but
both are very good.

I am currently working on a book on kinship, class struggle and the rule of
law in ancient city states.  If in your searches you come across anything I
might be interested in I would appreciate it if you forward a cite.
