I believe that there have been a few cases of
international troops using teargas. While these appear
to have been in fairly tense/dangerous situations,
it's not a good look.

The sooner the Timorese are back in control of their
own country, the better, obviously. The problem will
then become *which* Timorese are "back in control",
but that's something for them to deal with, not us.
