The article writer either has her facts wrong or has bought Calderon's
publicity. The public has *not* named him out of thin air the "Employment
President." On the contrary , it has been Calderon's 180 degrees reversal
from going from an image of hard line ("mano dura") which he was using, but
was failing in the polls. To a "reasoned populist" (not his campaign's
words) that is the image that he has been using. Part that image has been to
dub himself...."The Employment President" or "The Jobs President." At the
beginning of the campaign, Calderon railed against Obrador's populist image.
With PAN urging him on to change his image, Calderon has come out with spots
that would put to shame any populist.
