[Marxism] Duality of Marxism

Bill,
Sorry not to acknowledge receipt of your cv; your accomplishments
left me breathless.
Tony mentioned Michael Lowy's book on the young Marx's theory of revolution.
I think it shows that Marx was concerned to critique the reduction of
workers to bearers of the dialectic. Lowy's reading of the Holy
Family is especially helpful--I forwarded a crucial passage.
Here Marx is concerned to sharpen consciousness of the burdens
workers are already suffering and to assist in
giving greater coherence to their struggles.
Lukacs would draw from the Holy Family, and argue against a
dialectics of nature because for him (and the young Marx) the
dialectical movement is necessarily a conscious transcendence of
inherited form.
