Tony's argument seems persuasive. When I first read Juanaid's post I did
not focus particularly on the subject line, but on doing so it seems to
me that the answer to the question "totalizing or inhibiting?" is, _of
course_, _both_. And at this level of abstraction it is not possible to
go further than that "both." Hence the need for the kind of approach
Tony suggests.
