[Marxism] Re: East Timor replies



I take Louis' point about the usefulness of carrying on this particular
discussion.
I certainly don't want to open up a discussion on philosophy as much as I
might have done in the distant past.

Just on the point of Clinton Fernandes on what I meant by other forces and
what evidence I had for that.

If there was any ambiguity in what I wrote I apologise. By other forces I was
referring to
indigenous East Timorese. That is while the Indonesian government and
military certainly had a significant involvement in what happened in 1999 at
least in
part they took advantage of internal divisions amongst the East Timorese and
used them to foster the brutal attacks.

I don't claim any particular evidence other than that the recent violent
actions have been carried out by East Timorese against East Timorese and a
number
of commentators have suggested that this might have been a more significant
element of the 1999 events than had previously been generally thought.
