  Diego Maradonna was elected in a FIFA organized public vote via
Internet as the player of the century. When the prize was handed to him
in a show in Italy, he dedicated it not only to Argentina, his fans
worldwide, but also to Cuba, Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, calling the
latter "the greatest Argentinian". The FIFA officials had elected their
own #1 player, the Brazilian Pélé, who thanked God ...
