Hi, Lüko!

(1) Arg-Angola is not a complete certainty, even if Angola beats its
way up, which BTW I would be delighted to witness.

We have some too many yellow cards, and Lucho González is worringly
harmed after last game. So that maybe -only MAYBE- José Pekerman
will try to be conservative against Netherlands, and do some
calculations as whether it would be best or worst for us to end 1st.
or 2nd. in the group. I'm not quite sure this will work with the
players now, but he is an imposing man of sorts, with his soft smile
and humble manners of lower class Jewish boy in Buenos Aires.

If he decides that we should be 2nd, which among other consequences
would make a Bra-Arg final impossible, he will have his way, almost
certainly.

BTW2: José Pekerman, the coach of the Arg team, was born and brought
up in my own neighborhood, and he, as many of the players in the Arg
nat. teams including Maradona, was discovered by my neighborhood's
team, Argentinos Juniors which I am a fan of, bien sûr! He was one
of the first Jewish football players in Argentina, and later on he
became the coach of the juvenile teams of Argentinos Jrs. Later on
he was hired as the coach of the under-17 and under-19 Arg teams: 13
of the players under his orders in Germany today were also under his
orders when they won some of those Cups, shich explains lots of what
happened against Srbija & Crna Gora.

2) Political issues: Arg-Britain

What is worth commenting here is that a crew of an Arg TV show who
where roaming behind a gang of Brit hooligans discovered that -
whatever they might want us to believe- there is lots more than fair
play at stake in a World Cup. When the hooligans asked them "where
they came from", and learnt that it was Argentina, they immediately
started harassing them and seeking a riot, at the shout of "You will
never recover the Falklands!" The crew was saved by German police,
who anyway told them to drop their mission because the hooligans had
spotted them and this could be dangerous.
