Sure, I agree. But this lack of progress isn't just due to a deficiency on
the Left. The role of a conscious ruling class in destroying the Trade Union
movement in the UK is similar to that with regard to the Labor movement in the
US.
The collapse of the Soviet Union constituted a catastrophe for the organised
working class everywhere. I think it is only now that the embryo of a
regroupment from that defeat is taking place. That said, poor leadership still
remains the norm.
