[Marxism] Query from a friend
Louis,
Several years ago I was told of a better way to read Marx's Capital than
starting with the first chapter of volume one, which tends to bog you down
in deep analysis of the comodity. As I recall, you should begin somewhere
in volume two, with Marx's historical discussion of the development of
capitalism and proceed from there. I don't recall ever seeing an acutal
printed outline of this approach, but I was led to understand this was not
something new but had been in circulation for some time. I have spent
considerable time in volume 1, chapter 1, but have long wanted to try this
other method. I wonder if anyone on your list has knows anthing about this.
