In the meantime I'll note that the decision of a skilled
journalist to lie on behalf of the rich and powerful is
not motivated primarily by economic necessity, but is
rather a reflection of his or her desire to advance within
(and beyond) the profession. In that respect the chosen
occupation of a prostitute is far more honest, even if
unfortunate from her perspective, and certainly less
covered up with ideological rationalizations.

Using the term "presstitute", not "prostitute",
I was trying to make a political/polemical point.

Some of the foreign media are trying to do a good
and honest job, some are more dubious.
