[Marxism] absolute truth and marxisms: a few points
Rod Holt _
Clip-
The notion of "as many as" (i.e., the one-to-one correspondence) is a
primative notion, and from it "more than" and "fewer than." And so
forth. These notions are occasionally observed in non-human beings.

CB: Yes, it occurred to me that in history, algebra ( one-to-one
correspondence) precedes arithmetic, although it is taught in school in the
reverse order. I'm thinking arithmetic, counting, starts with commodity
exchange, whereas algebraic thinking starts with kinship. Levi-Strauss
argues that there is group theory algebra ( one-to-one correspondence) in ,
well, groups' kinship ( in _Elementary Structures of Kinship_)
