Re: [Marxism] For Iran, a Seat at China's Table

And just ask the people of Darfur whether they feel safer when China refuses
to countenance action against the ethnic cleansers or worse who reside in
Khartoum. Sorry Walter, the only interest China has is oil.

Subject: [Marxism] For Iran, a Seat at China's Table

(Here's one of those examples of how China's role in the world at
this time, whether it's designation by Marxists as as "capitalist",
"Communist", "state-capitalist" or "bogeyman" makes difference in
a situation where its impact is evidently one which has the effect
of holding back Washington's threat to use military action against
the Islamic Republic. Washington has been compelled by a range of
factors, including China's international role, to negotiate with
Iran, and to draw back from its threats of military action. Is the
world safer with Washington having to talk to Iran than rattling
sabres against it? Just ask the people of Afghanistan and Iraq.)
