[Marxism] One-state and two-state strategies
Funny, Marvin, you should raise this. I've thought, fantasized this sort of
scenerio now again and off an on for a few years: See the Likud's original
position of *annexing* the "West Bank" and Gaza actually occur. By defacto (and
assumption, then) the 1.5 million Palestinains become Israeli-Arab citizens and
thus creating a HUGE political crisis for the Zionist entity. It would also
have tremendous international repercusions as the Arab population of Israel
would go from 15% to about 35-40%. It would then put the single-state
persceptive (part of the original Palestinian Charter) back in it's proper
context with banustan solutions swept under the rug.
The course of the Palestian struggle itself changed, didn't go in this direction
even though Hamas supports a "kind-of" unitary Islamic Palestine.
