[Marxism] "our" troops' moral duty

A shorter version of the "druggie troops in Haditha" story is at:
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wn_report/story/423676p-357552c.html

I want to second what Fred and Marvin said about the moral responsibility of
"our" troops by reminding comrades of the Hugh Thompson story. Thompson, who
died earlier this year, was the helicopter pilot who landed in the middle of
the My Lai massacre and threatened to shoot US troops if they didn't stop
killing civilians.

Seems to me "our" troops, in addition to agitating among their fellow
soldiers that they be allowed to come home, have the responsibility to spread
the word on Hugh Thompson's life, and when in a similar situation to follow
his example.

Otherwise don't whine to me about the horrors of warfare. Be a mensch and do
something about it.
(P.S. for those unfamiliar with the word mensch, it's gender neutral, means
human being.)
