[Marxism] Sexist language and baseless accusations.

Apparently it is not enough for some of the self-righteous posters on this
list to have driven Louise Walker from the list now she is ,in the imagination
of Jack Cade  'laughing her head of somewhere" and showing the hallmarks of a
troll. This is arrant and arrogant nonsense. Comrade Walker has eloquently
stated her case. In my last post I provided some of the background of her work 
in
socialist politics here but Cade deems her not to have made enough of a
contribution.
I commend Les Schaffer's post on this matter. I cannot find further words to
express my contempt and disgust for Cade's cowardly and self-demeaning
contribution.
Re Jscotlive's response to my post.
I dont have any problem with a fight for an independent socialist republic in
Scotland-although I think the idea that it strikes a blow at US imperialism
by breaking up Britain is a bit far fetched.
I aimed my comment at what I have long seen as the accommodation by the SSP
to bourgeois nationalism. I have based this on various things including having
attended meetings in Sydney addressed by SSPers on two occasions.
One of the speakers' names I can't recall offhand but the other was Colin
Fox. Neither was very impressive in my view and both seemed to me to put more
stress on the Scottish than the Socialist ie 1st S rather than 2nd S in the 
SSP's
name as I originally commented. Given jscotlive's position re support for
Sheridan I presume he doesn't hold Fox in particularly high esteem either.
My comment on Sheridan's mistake of going to court is based on my
longstanding belief that it is dangerous and most likely to be 
counter-productive for
Socialists to use defamation actions -I well remember the disastrous outcome of
the Gerry Healy inspired action by Vanessa Redgrave against the Observer in the
mid 70's .
