[Marxism] NY Cuba Solidarity activist and leader sizes up May20 actions for Venezuela

Right now I'm only involved, peripherally, with HOV stuff and some immigrant
rights stuff, but my sense of this, is that Ike is off his rocker if he thinks
Venezuela, let alone Cuba, will displace Iraq. Who is he preaching too? The
capitalists and their gov't do the paramater building for what we respond to.
Unless the marines are landing in Matanzas provice or the Carribean coast of
Venezuela, you can forget about it. Iraq is where the worlds attention is right
now, it's the biggest fight the imperialists have challenged the people of the
world too, and seems to be reamining so, moves against Latin America
notwithstanding.

So...what those of us in the Venezuelan solidarity movement ought to do (I can't
speak for the Cuban side of the room) is to build the biggest anti-war demos and
build our contigents, get speakers, etc. This would be a major contribution to
both efforts.
