While I agree that there is no particular "revolutionary guidance" to be
found in C3, I think in other respects there is much to be said for some
of those "outtakes" (nice wording), mostly in the sense of deepening
one's understanding of Marx's work as a whole. The discussion of the
Trinity Theory of Capital for example. It's been a while now since I
read it, but I also remember a number of parts of it which are effective
warnings against making theory explain everything. The instance I
remember particularly is his argument that interest rates do _not_
follow any law but are merely the result of contingencies.
