[Marxism] Permanent Revolution
Ah, semantics, always a fun game. Well, my theory on these thoughts is somewhat
different...
The way these comrades wrote back then was *not* a lay out of a scientific set
of parameters, of evidence and counter-evidence, as I suspect Carrol wishes
for, no, not at all. Rather these were two things:
1. They were *prognostications* of how THE (meaning the Russian) revolution was
going to unfold (this is a common way of polemics back then, as much for
Trotsky as it was for Lenin, et al). and
2. It was a PROGRAM. It was a perspective to organize around, advocate and
otherwise defend as the best course FOR the revoluiton to take.
