Oh, for fuck's sake. Louis, calm the hell down.

First, yes, my post was kneejerk, silly, and a bad idea. Which is why I
haven't responded to David's post, nor do I intend to. It wasn't "an
attempt to get a rise out of" anyone, it was just me being snarky.
(Those comrades who I work with *off* of the net, like Joaquin, know
full well that my snarkiness has gotten me into unintended trouble more
than once.) I *like* David, and respect him, despite our (fairly minor)
political differences. I have no desire to piss him off. But hey, maybe
"12-year-olds" like me are just too damn immature to keep around.

Second, I rarely post here. Once every few weeks, maybe once a month.
Don't even try to insinuate that I'm some sort of problem child here
for one poorly-thought-out post.

And now you're talking about banning discussion on Latin America, where
the most *important* parts of the class struggle are taking place?
Angry or not, you've got to be fucking kidding yourself if you honestly
think that will fly. That would be like banning discussion of the
anti-war movement. If you want to just ban all discussion of topics
people feel strongly about, you might as well just have the "Marxmail
list" become nothing more than a Marxist analysis of weather patterns.

Kick me off if you want. The overall effect of my departure on the list
would hover somewhere between "jack" and "shit," and Jack's looking
bored.

But *ban* discussion of Latin America? Don't be ridiculous, Louis.
