This is a case of the masses using a highly developed diversion to instal
some propaganda for themselves. This was all done during the Roman Games. A
bloody business if there was. But did not return to a republic or more to the
point, end the slave system. This was nearly achieved by Spartacus.
The media, such diversions-including fundamentalism in the US and  Middle
East (After Nasser, the Arab peoples have no foreseeable alternative-the  Tudeh
Party  in support of Moussadeq were defeated by US  intervention)  and finally
the military are all organised to  preserve capitalism.
Nepal is the latest example of a mass movement overcoming the King Gyrenda
version of reaction.
Look back in history to see that to win power against such diversions, the
masses must be mobilised under a revolutionary leadership.Some examples-
French Revolution, October Revolution, Vietnamese defeat of the US, Cuban
revolution.
