Last on this, as it really is fruitless....
Mark says, by way of justification: "But, in the end, everything you're
willing to consign to the garbage heap
was built by the working class or created owing to the labors of the
people. I applaud it if the movement has some use for these things."
One could just as well apply Mark's descripton to slave ships,
plantations, prisons, cathedrals, Auschwitz, neutron bombs, and Fox
news. So what?
What belongs on the garbage heap are the monuments, icons, anthems to
and of exploitation that revive themselfs only through the continued
degradation of labor. No better example of that than the SSB in its
origin and propaganda purpose.
