What does this mean for leftists in the u.s.? In what way, direct or
indirect, can our agreement with your argument affect our practice or
our analysis of the enemy _in the united states_?

This is a serious question, but also at least mildly hostile. I am
tempted to believe, until I see some answer to this question, that the
only way judgments of Chavez relate to u.s. practice is that they
provide an opiate to moderate our pain at our relative political
impotence at the present time in the u.s., and that, moreover, such
debates dangerously divert our theoretical attention and discussion from
the problems facing us in the u.s.
