Re: [Marxism] struggle.ws: Cuba..socialist paradise or Castro's fiefdom?

This is the type of idealistic drivel I expected of them, really. They try
to create a brand of left-radicalism that is acceptable to people who buy
into the Robert Conquest version of history. In fact, anarchism is useful as
a philosophy because it introduces people to critical thinking without
asking them to throw away all the bullshit they've been taught to believe at
once. But that's about the extent of it.

"One Cuban in every 340 is in prison. There are 400 political prisoners."

How about a source for this info? As far as anyone knows, the author could
have just pulled these figures out of his ass.The other references listed
are mostly sources; in other words, the author cites someone who, as far as
I know, could also just be pulling numbers out of their asses.

I make no claim to be a great historian. However, groups like this like to
cherry-pick their facts. As Mr. Proyect already pointed out, they have no
qualms about referencing a right-wing source for two entire paragraphs when
it fits into their ideology. This is typical. When some bourgeois mouthpiece
comes up with lies and slander about anarchism, the anarchists are quick to
point out that the class interest of these mouthpieces skews their version
of history. But when that same person comes out to trash Cuba, the Soviet
Union, Yugoslavia, etc., the anarchists are willing to simply take whatever
they say for granted.
