If I understand what he's saying, in Cuba you go to work to produce a
commodity or provide a service which a consumer purchases. However, you're
not paid the full value of the commodity or service your labor creates.

Think about that for a second...

My question is, how is this any different from any society in the world?

That was a rhetorical question, because the obvious difference is that that
money doesn't go directly into Fidel Castro's pocket, it is redistributed to
the people in the form of free/subsidized goods and services, minus the
overhead involved in providing these. However, even if Castro did just stick
that money in his pocket, it's not like he'd be any different from any
American capitalist. Are we afraid of a little competition?

I guess it doesn't take a MENSA member to outsmart Bush, but I just felt
like rambling.
