It's sort of sad about Norman Geras. He wrote some wonderful stuff over
the years -- useful even when one disagreed sharply with him. And his
critique of Laclau & Mouffe in NLR was an absolute masterpiece of
marxist polemics.

It seems that any 'softness' whatever on Israel has been among the most
important routes for the intellectual/political destruction of many
leftists over the last 40 or 50 years.
