I think it would justify a skepticism of that government's proported
intentions. Unfortunately, history is written in the United States in such a
fashion that by the time the truth about our foreign policy becomes common
knowledge, it's been long enough that people can shrug it off and say,
"Sure, but that was years ago. It's different now."
